Location – Remote
This role is eligible to be performed remotely, however, if you reside within 100 miles of Organic Valley offices in WI, you will be expected to collaborate onsite in a hybrid fashion for 4-8 days per month. If you reside outside of 100 miles, you will travel in 4 times/year for intentional collaboration and connection.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Minimum 5+ years within a consumer-packaged goods company in brand/product management.
  • Food/Dairy experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred.
  • Experience leading people is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical rigor, including understanding P&L drivers as well as syndicated data experience: SPINS, IRI, and Nielsen.
  • Has created and executed annual category and brand plans.
  • Must be able to build trust and effectively lead cross-functional teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set: creative, resourceful, risk taker, business savvy, adaptable.
  • Project management experience and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
    Base salary range: $92,768 - $131,560 per year
    This salary range is exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. If you are hired at CROPP, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role should expect to be at the lower end of the salary range and hiring at the maximum of the salary range is not typical.
Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF ROLE

The Marketing Manager is responsible for crafting and executing the category strategy and annual category plans, including top and bottom-line growth. This individual will be expected to develop an in-depth understanding of the category and fact-based strategic recommendations that will drive profitable business growth. The position requires a deep understanding of the target consumer and customer landscape, strong analytical abilities, project management expertise, and strategic & creative thinking. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strong cross-functional and team leadership capabilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Champions a compelling vision for the category. Implementing category strategies to deliver annual plans that meet revenue and profit goals.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of drivers of performance for the brand. Leads business analysis; monitoring and reporting business performance against KPI’s. Identifies opportunities and issues to drive brand growth and profitability.
  • Leads cross-functional category team and collaborates closely with internal cross-functional teams including Integrated Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, Product Development, Consumer Insights to achieve category objectives.
  • Leads the commercialization of new initiatives within the Commercialization and Stage Gate processes. Communicates project status, issues, and opportunities to the broader organization.
  • Collaborates with Customer Planning, Sales, and Integrated Marketing to create strong selling and consumer promotional materials.
  • Communicates performance expectations, evaluates employee performance, provide timely feedback, train, and coach employees, and recommend personnel actions for assigned staff.
