Description

ABOUT PAPAGO VANS:

Papago Vans builds high-end, custom camper vans for individuals seeking freedom and adventure. With nearly 500,000 followers across social media, an expanding e-commerce store, and a reputation as one of the top van builders in the U.S., we’ve already built serious momentum, and we need the right person to keep it going.
This isn’t a cushy corporate role with a full team of specialists; it’s a solo seat. You’ll be the marketing engine, wearing multiple hats, while working alongside sales, design, and operations to bring campaigns to life. If you’re ambitious, creative, and hungry to prove yourself, this is your shot.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Strong across social media, ads, analytics, e-commerce, events, and systems
  • A self-starter who takes initiative and makes things happen
  • Calm under pressure and able to manage multiple priorities at once
  • Resourceful and effective with tight budgets and limited resources
  • Creative and data-driven—skilled at making content people love and tracking what converts
  • Hands-on with content creation: shooting, editing, and publishing video and photo content
  • Growth-minded, always seeking new channels, strategies, and opportunities to scale revenue

MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE:

  • Social media mastery (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, short-form video).
  • Video editing (CapCut, Premiere, or similar) and photo editing (Lightroom).
  • HubSpot and email marketing.
  • Meta Business Suite for managing social accounts.
  • Meta and Google Ads.
  • Shopify/e-commerce management.
  • Merchandise and inventory management.
  • Zapier and no-code automations.
  • SEO and website optimization.
  • WordPress site management.
  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
  • SEMrush (keyword research, SEO, competitive analysis).
  • Google Merchant Center.
  • Google Business Profile (GMB).
  • Budget management and allocation for maximum ROI.
  • Strong project and event management skills.

NICE TO HAVE EXPERIENCE-

  • Klaviyo (email + e-commerce campaigns)
  • Monday.com (project management)
  • Slack (team communication)
  • Airtable (content + campaign organization)
  • Canva and other graphic design tools
  • Basic coding skills (HTML/CSS/JS)
  • Experience with Webflow or other no-code site builders
  • Background in startups or agencies

EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND

  • Hands-on marketing experience running social, ads, or e-commerce campaigns (freelance, in-house, or agency).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple marketing channels without heavy oversight
  • Examples of past work (portfolio, case studies, or campaigns) that show you can execute.
  • Experience managing budgets and delivering measurable ROI.
  • Bachelor’s degree is optional—we care more about skills, creativity, and results.

PERKS

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week — worked Mon–Thurs, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (three-day weekends every week).
  • Occasional travel for expos and industry events (all expenses covered).
  • Full benefits (401k, health, dental, vision, life insurance).
  • PTO and paid holidays.
  • A tight-knit, ambitious team with a culture built on results, not red tape.
If you’re a self-starter who thrives on creativity and results, you’ll quickly develop a passion for all things van conversion and for sharing our story with the world. We’re looking for someone eager to take ownership, drive growth, and make Papago Vans the name people think of first when they think adventure on wheels.

Responsibilities

ROLE:

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing & Creative Content Specialist to drive our brand forward. This is a step-up opportunity for someone ready to move beyond a junior or specialist role and take ownership of our brand’s marketing from end to end.
As a self-starter, you will tackle most tasks independently, demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness in managing projects and solving challenges. You’ll also collaborate closely with other departments to align marketing efforts with company goals. When projects require additional support, you’ll delegate tasks to freelancers and vendors, coordinating their contributions to maintain high standards and ensure timely completion.
The ideal candidate is passionate about engaging audiences, understands current marketing trends in the van conversion industry, and excels at visual storytelling, idea generation, and campaign execution.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Social Media & Content: Lead Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook with 4 weekly posts, community engagement, and viral content. Shoot, edit, and repurpose video/photo content using tools like CapCut, Lightroom, and Premiere.
  • Growth & Lead Gen: Manage Meta + Google Ads, optimize WordPress for SEO/conversions, and oversee Shopify sales funnels and promotions. Spot new revenue channels and manage marketing budgets for ROI.
  • Merchandise: Oversee branded gear inventory, re-orders, design updates, fulfillment, and campaign tie-ins.
  • Systems & Automation: Run HubSpot campaigns, workflows, and email marketing. Automate tasks with Zapier and no-code tools.
  • Events & Expos: Coordinate logistics, vendors, signage, promo materials, and event-specific content strategies. Occasional travel required.
  • Collaboration: Work with sales, design, and ops to align marketing goals. Manage freelancers, contractors, and agency partners.
