Description

We are one of the largest and longest established suppliers of products to the catering trade in the north of England and southern Scotland. In addition to this we operate three retail outlets and a restaurant and function room.
To help further strengthen and promote our business, values and brands, we are now looking for a Marketing Manager in a newly created role working alongside our Purchasing Team.
You will manage the marketing function for the company. You will market and promote our products, brands and services in the foodservice industry with the support of a Marketing Specialist. You will support, assist and collaborate with our retail product development team.
This is a 35-hour week role Monday to Friday (occasional travel) based at our head office in Carlisle on Rosehill Industrial Estate. Salary will be negotiable depending on experience, please note your salary expectations as part of you application.
You will already be in a marketing or similar role and have proven experience in managing, developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns. You will also hold a relevant degree or equivalent CIM qualification.
You don’t need a background in the food industry, but a passion for food is essential!

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in marketing management with demonstrated success in monitoring the latest trends and awareness of the latest industry developments.
  • Experience of a wide range of stakeholder communication with a good eye for detail and design.
  • An excellent understanding of digital marketing and experience with e-commerce platforms such as Magento and Wordpress.
  • Accomplished at uploading and managing creative online content with an understanding of SEO execution.
  • Experience in performance reporting and analysis of campaigns.
  • Ability to employ creative skills with the use of Adobe software including Indesign and Photoshop.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to build rapport and engage with stakeholders.
  • Detail-orientated, confident copywriter and proof-reader, organised and deadline focused.
  • Proactive with a can-do attitude with the ability to prioritise and work on multiple projects at any one time.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To be the keeper of our brand and work along with sales and buying to deliver revenue growth for the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate would have the opportunity to contribute to and influence the following:

  • Marketing strategy development and implementation.
  • Ensuring that our brand values, tone of voice and guidelines are delivered across all marketing activity.
  • Create and deliver a content strategy that is relevant to our customers and meets our business ambitions.
  • Lead the development of our ecommerce platform including any online advertising activity to ensure we hit our user targets and drive additional revenue via the website.
  • Own the social media strategy and annual plan.
  • Mange our publications schedule and marketing calendar.
  • Lead on stakeholder events – including exhibitions and trade shows.
  • Scope our new marketing, digital and ecommerce opportunities.
  • Manage digital platforms and oversee all social media activity.
  • Work with third party providers such as design agencies and web developers.
  • Drive newsletter sign ups and engagement with interesting content which encourages additional revenue
