📍Newcastle / Maitland or Sydney 💻 Work from home set up with regular days at our East Maitland Head office ⏱️Full time, 12-month Parental leave contract The Opportunity We’re seeking an experienced Marketing Manager – Retention to lead the development and execution of patient lifecycle and retention strategies across our national network. This role is both strategic and hands-on. You will own the retention roadmap end-to-end—from insight to strategy to execution—ensuring our communications are relevant, engaging, and deliver measurable outcomes across patient loyalty, reactivation, frequency, and lifetime value. This is a 12-month maternity cover contract, ideal for a retention leader who thrives in a fast-paced, data-rich environment and enjoys collaborating across a multi-location healthcare organisation. This position can be based in Sydney or Maitland, with hybrid working and occasional travel. What You'll Be Doing Retention Strategy & Growth Own and evolve the end-to-end retention roadmap to drive patient value growth Develop and execute lifecycle marketing strategies aligned to business objectives Identify gaps in the patient journey and design initiatives to improve engagement, utilisation, and loyalty Partner with regional leaders and practitioners to support practice growth Insights, Analytics & Performance Use behavioural data and analytics to optimise retention outcomes Segment audiences to deliver targeted lifecycle campaigns Monitor performance metrics including patient frequency, lifetime value, and campaign effectiveness Identify underperforming centres and develop data-driven improvement strategies Campaign Execution & Collaboration Lead lifecycle messaging across all patient journey stages Oversee CRM, automation, and owned channel campaign delivery Ensure communications are compliant, brand aligned, and patient-centric Partner with IT, operations, and marketing teams to deliver seamless execution Leadership & Team Development Foster a high-engagement team environment with clear responsibilities and measurable KPIs Lead, coach, and develop team members to build capability and performance Monitor team outcomes to ensure departmental goals are consistently achieve What You’ll Bring You’re a commercially minded retention marketer who blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, backed by strong analytical capability and a passion for improving customer outcomes. 10+ years’ experience in retention, lifecycle or loyalty marketing (health, retail or services experience highly regarded) Demonstrated success delivering data-driven retention strategies that increase LTV, reduce churn and drive reactivation Practical experience using marketing automation tools to build and optimise lifecycle journeys Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn insights into action Excellent project management capability, with confidence managing multiple priorities and stakeholders A strategic thinker who’s equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves to execute A strategic mindset with a willingness to be hands-on in execution.
