Description:
We are looking for a creative, organised and results driven marketing manager.
Thorne Widgery is the largest independent Chartered Accountancy practice and Business Consultancy in Herefordshire with offices also in Ludlow and Shrewsbury.
The role offers the opportunity for autonomy, ideas and creative contribution in execution of the vision of the business, its growth and the way we inform existing and prospective clients of relevant products, services or matters of compliance using digital, printed, PR and event marketing across varied media and campaigns.
You will also work with Bridge3, a sister company of Thorne Widgery, and our innovation & development team.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: -
- A relevant Business/Marketing qualification or equivalent experience.
- Well organised with the ability to work under pressure, multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent eye for design, written & verbal communication
- Digital marketing and use of social media
- Copy writing skills
- Team player – build positive relationships across the business
- IT skills to include MSOffice suite and Canva is essential.
- Evidence of campaign planning, design, and execution
- Video editing on Capcut or other video editing software

Responsibilities:
- Reporting primarily to the CEO you will assist in the development and implementation of the company’s brand strategy
- Maintaining marketing support materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed
- Coordinating and collaborating with an external marketing agency to ensure that business objectives are met to deliver the right message and image.
- Facilitating the content of our e-marketing and social media to deliver the agreed business objectives. Manage Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn content and report on the analytics of each platform monthly.
- Knowledge of SEO strategies to optimise online visibility and drive targeted traffic.
- Candidates should demonstrate expertise in creating and editing engaging videos tailored for various social media platforms and the website to enhance brand storytelling and audience engagement.
- Event Management - organising exhibitions, their promotion, stand space, materials & attendance
- Continue and create new ways to increase awareness of our brand, our key differentiators, and our teams skills
- Developing a thorough understanding of our services and building and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders.
