Description
About us  At Certis Belchim, we are on a journey to transform the crop protection landscape. Our ambition is to provide integrated programmes, combining biorational and chemical products, that meet the challenges of sustainable crop production and the demands of the value chain. Our Japanese shareholders provide a unique access to innovative technology in the crop protection sector.  We are European headquartered in Londerzeel (BE) and Utrecht (NL) with more than 800 engaged colleagues working in more than 23 countries worldwide. We provide our employees an experience of a friendly atmosphere among colleagues who are passionate about what they do. We offer a workplace where our employees can accelerate their career. And of course, we are always looking for talented people, with a pragmatic approach to help us have a positive impact on our sector and beyond!  About your team  You will join a supportive, collaborative and energetic UK organisation where people value openness, professionalism and genuine teamwork. As part of the UK Management Team, you will not only help shape strategy, you will also enrich the team with your personality, perspective and leadership style.    Your team is based in our Cambridge office, where colleagues work on site several times per week. This is where we connect, coach, brainstorm and strengthen collaboration across functions. While we offer flexibility, being physically present with the team is an important part of how we work, support each other and make decisions together.    You will work closely with our Crop Managers, the Marketing & Communications Manager and a MDS Graduate. At the same time, you will collaborate frequently with colleagues in global marketing, supply chain, regulatory affairs and business partners such as suppliers, distributors and PR agencies. This is an environment where curiosity is encouraged, new ideas are welcomed and forward‑thinking is very much appreciated.    How you’ll make impact  This role offers a unique opportunity to influence Certis Belchim’s long‑term direction in the UK and Ireland. By shaping strategic marketing plans, anticipating emerging trends and identifying new opportunities, you will help strengthen our market position and contribute to long‑term commercial growth. Your leadership will have a visible impact on our people, our partners and the future of our business.      About your team  You will join a supportive, collaborative and energetic UK organisation where people value openness, professionalism and genuine teamwork. Your leadership will have a visible impact on our people, our partners and the future of our business.    About your job  As Marketing Manager, you will take the lead in shaping the commercial and marketing direction of Certis Belchim UK and Ireland. You will operate on both a strategic and operational level, ensuring that marketing strategies, product portfolios and commercial plans all come together effectively.    You will:  * Lead the development and execution of the UK commercial and marketing strategy, aligned with company goals.  * Actively contribute to the UK Management Team, bringing insight, fresh thinking and balanced decision‑making.  * Support the Country Manager in developing the long‑term (5‑year) strategic plan and act as Deputy when required.  * Inspire, guide and develop a team of Crop Managers and MarCom professionals, helping them grow and perform at their best.  * Monitor market developments, customer behaviour and value‑chain dynamics, translating insights into clear actions and opportunities.  * Identify new business opportunities, from partnerships and alliances to product acquisitions and portfolio expansion.  * Strengthen relationships with distributors, suppliers and key partners, reinforcing our brand and securing future market access.  * Collaborate closely with sales teams, contributing to customer engagement and helping achieve commercial targets.  * Lead the local S&OP process in collaboration with the supply planner to secure product availability while managing stock KPIs.  * Manage the marketing and commercial budget, ensuring effective allocation and strong return on investment.  * Actively support the development of the annual sales budget with the Sales Manager and team.    This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining strategy, creativity, leadership and hands‑on influence, and who is ready to make a real impact in a dynamic and evolving sector.    About you  * We are looking for someone who brings more than experience alone, a personality who will genuinely enrich our Management Team with fresh thinking, approachability and a forward‑looking mindset and teamplayer.  * A background in agriculture, horticulture or a related field provides a strong foundation for success in this role.  * Experience in marketing, commercial development or value‑chain/food‑chain roles within crop protection or a related sector will help you contribute quickly.  * Colleagues find you approachable, personable and easy to collaborate with; building trust is something you do naturally.  * You inspire others through your ideas, clarity and communication style, and you bring energy into discussions.  * Keeping an eye on market movements, trends and innovations comes naturally to you, you have a strong sense of what is coming next and how to respond.  * Strategic thinking is one of your strengths, but you are equally comfortable translating ideas into concrete, actionable plans.  * You enjoy coaching and developing others, and you take pride in creating the right conditions for your team to succeed.  * Working with a variety of stakeholders, from colleagues to customers, suppliers and distributors, energises you and plays to your strengths.    Working with us means  * Living within roughly one hour’s travel of Cambridge enables you to make the most of our hybrid working model (60% office / 40% home office), giving you the ideal balance of face‑to‑face collaboration, team connection and personal flexibility.  * You can expect a market‑based salary in the range of £72.500 to £82,500, complemented by a 15% performance‑related bonus on your annual gross salary and the benefit of a company car.  * Your contributions will be genuinely valued and recognised by colleagues across the organisation, and you’ll join a culture that actively encourages professional growth, both within your role and within the wider company.  * You will have access to our learning academy and regular feedback opportunities. We strive to support an optimal work‑life balance through flexible working hours and a human‑centred environment where success is measured not only by numbers, but by the people who make the difference.   * You will experience authentic collaboration and support from colleagues at every level of the organisation. By joining an established and respected company in the industry, you will become part of our journey toward a more sustainable future. In this role, you will actively contribute to the transformation of crop protection, turning challenges into opportunities.    Inspired?  For more information about this role, please contact Morley Benson, Country Manager UK & Ireland at Morley.Benson@certisbelchim.com.
