WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: As Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in developing and delivering the marketing strategy for a portfolio of leading trade exhibitions and publications. You’ll work with the Marketing Executive(s) to deliver great campaigns and develop great relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure we maximise attendance, engagement, ultimately deliver brilliant events. You’ll be confident in managing the various marketing demands across several products (exhibitions/conferences/magazines) utilising a structured and logical process and your communication skills and attention to detail will be second-to-none. THE ROLE: Todevelop and implement effective marketing plans for a portfolio of events andmagazines Developstrategic audience development plans and ensure marketing communicationsaccurately reflect event positioning and key messaging. Directing the messagingand finessing the audience proposition - good communication and writing skillsare imperative Takeresponsibility for leading and developing team members, setting objectives andmanaging performance Effectivelymanage marketing budgets Developkey relationships and partnerships with industry and sector media Leadthe execution of the marketing, promotions and communications campaign(s) andreport on effectiveness and results Reportand analyse pre-reg and attendee data Managethe creative/design process for marketing material – ensuring all comms areon-message Workwith the sales team to create sales campaigns, focused on both new clientgrowth and increased client retention Regularly review marketingplan, response rates/KPI’s, attendee demographics, and industry best practicesto ensure marketing efforts are effective and successful, makingrecommendations and adjustments as appropriate ABOUT YOU: Key duties: Content creation: Drafting compelling copy for promotional materials, website content, social media posts, and email campaigns. Proof-reading and signing off all comms. Campaign management: Planning, development, execution, and tracking of marketing initiatives across multiple platforms. Research and analysis: Conducting market research, analyzing data, and preparing reports to inform decision-making and strategy development. Leadership: Develop team members, coach and support, managing and improving performance Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and design – building strong relationships and influencing upwards. Event support: Lead on-site marketing activities during trade exhibitions, including signage placement/visitor experience, gathering testimonials and social media content, building client relationships etc. Key skills required: Strong team leaderships skills – coaching mindset Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities Excellent attention to detail Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, social media scheduling tools, website CMS systems, Email Service Providers/CRMs etc. Excellent understanding of digital marketing principles and platforms, including Google Analytics. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively at pace on multiple projects. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
