FlowRider, Inc. has molded the FlowRider to become the “go to” product over the last 10- 15 years in the waterpark industry, a mainstay in Royal Caribbean’s fleet of cruise ships, an anchor for food and beverage operations via Flow House, and a prime product for municipalities, hotels, and even private residences! With 200+ installations, the FlowRider, and its “flow-family” of other wave-centric rides (e.g., WaveOz), have become synonymous with the term sheet wave. Our never-ending goal is for the legacy of the FlowRider to live on forever. In this quest, WhiteWater has acquired the technology and trademarks to take the sport of flowboarding to new heights and make sure the not-so-simple act of riding a wave, can be enjoyed and achieved anywhere and by anyone on our joyous planet. Position: Marketing Manager Shift: Full-Time, 40-hour/ week Department: Markerting Location: San Diego, CA, USA PURPOSE The Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading the development of FlowRider’s marketing to respond to the requirements of the FlowRider business, both B2B and a growing B2C area. This position must be able to translate audience and market insight into ROI driving drive marketing programs to build brand awareness and adoption, including providing direct sales team with collateral and tools. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Industry expertise Maintain awareness of current and changing market trends, customer attitudes and opinions. Share this insight internally and ssynthesize these findings to make our marketing more relevant and engaging. Identify emerging market opportunities and develop strategies to reach them. Competitor analysis – collate and communicate competitor activity at a brand and product level for this market place. Reaching our audience (Strategy Development) Understand audiences and their decision-making process. Co-Create strategies and tactics to promote the Brand and increase engagement across audiences, with support from the President, FlowRIder and the CMO. Proposition development for new Audiences (e.g. hotels & resorts, Location Based Entertainment venues). Create the FlowRider marketing plans and develop cost effective budgets. Develop activities which create a healthy Sales funnel front end (lead generation). Audience relationship management for FlowRIder’s brand - recognize customer relationships status and communicate appropriately in direct communications. Product Marketing Lead the development of all product marketing materials during the product development process from naming to launch plans. Create launch campaigns for new products & lead award entries. Liaison with product engineers and Sales teams as we develop product marketing plans (e.g. product maps & life stage management for appropriate marketing promotion). Content Development + Curation Guides the brand to be authentic and consistent across all touchpoints and materials team to maintain brand leadership and differentiation in these increasingly competitive markets. Lead development and strategy of content calendar for the brand. Oversee the creation of new content - including (but not limited to) blogs, email, newsletters, website pages, landing pages designed to attract links and new readers, delivering good quality leads. Interface with key stakeholders to ensure content captures readers' interest and is accurate while promoting the brand message. Oversee integrity of website content and ensure all FlowRide content is updated as necessary across all WhiteWater group sites. Lead creation of effective sales materials such as brochures, datasheets, presentations, and videos etc. Edit and proofread all collateral materials, including content written by other staff members Ensure project list is up to date and customer consent forms are filed. Drive Brand engagement Ensure brand consistency and development for FlowRider as a key growth area. Ensure internal sales and marketing collateral is developed in accordance with brand tone/voice. Identify and develop strategic relationships for opportunities to support Endless Surf and FlowRider brand position and drives traffic. Lead social media strategy and manage deployment to grow followers and engagement Manage and evolve the nurture/drip marketing programs for your audiences. Oversee advertising plan development and PR to increase share of voice for constantly improving budget effectiveness. Create presentations for speaking opportunities and thought leadership content and manage internal resources to deliver as appropriate. Reporting Responsible for tracking of program budgets and scope of work, ensuring maximum ROI and overall expenditures remain in line with agreed budgets. Test, monitor, analyze and report on campaign performance and conversion metrics. Make recommendations for improvement based on analysis. Leadership Manage relationships with the President of FlowRider and team integrating into their senior teams. Monitor and report on metrics for these leaders ensuring progress to plans and budget. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or related field. Experience in a copywriting and journalistic capacity a bonus. AMA Marketing Certifications are desirable. 4+ years of content and product marketing experience in a B2B environment. Experience managing marketing budgets. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. ability to address multiple audiences while maintaining each brand’s voice. and demonstrates creative story telling abilities. Exceptional grammar, spelling and accuracy and proofing attention to details. Advanced user of social media platforms and customer engagement technologies. Experience with lead nurturing, drip marketing and marketing automation technology. Comfortable with Adobe creative suite and has strong eye for design and photography.
