Healthy Lifestyles Australia is on the lookout for a motivated and dedicated Marketing Officer to join our friendly, supportive administration team based in Lowood and Ipswich. If you have experience in marketing, communications or public relations, we’d love to hear from you!

Healthy Lifestyles Australia has been a trusted provider of Dietetic, Exercise Physiology, and Diabetes Education services across Queensland for 17 years. Specialising in chronic disease management and prevention, we also assist with a wide range of other healthcare services including aged care consultations, Insurance and Workcover, and support for NDIS and DVA patients Our mission is to inspire positive lifestyle changes that reduce the burden of chronic diseases. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in marketing, public relations, advertising, or content creation, ideally within a healthcare or administrative setting.
  • Formal qualifications in marketing, communications, business, or public relations (highly regarded but not essential)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong initiative, creativity, and attention to detail when developing and delivering marketing content.
  • High level of computer literacy with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based file sharing systems.
  • Experience using social media management tools, website CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), and email marketing software.
  • Proficient in graphic design platforms (e.g., Canva) and basic digital video editing tools.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
  • Competent typing skills (40+ words per minute).
  • Passion for working in a purpose-driven environment committed to improving the health and wellbeing of others.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Marketing Officer at Healthy Lifestyles Australia, you will play a vital role in driving the promotion and visibility of our allied health services across all the regions we service. This dynamic position involves creating engaging content, managing digital platforms, coordinating community outreach, and supporting the development of targeted marketing campaigns. Your work will directly support our mission to improve community health outcomes through increased awareness and engagement. This is a part or full-time role (3-5 days per week) based at our Head Office in Lowood, with occasional outreach to our Ipswich office and local community events as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Social Media Management: Develop and schedule engaging, original content across social media platforms (posts, stories, and short-form videos) to promote services, programs, and company updates while maintaining consistent brand identity.
  • Content Creation: Design digital content including infographics, blogs, email campaigns, and video materials that support marketing strategies and health promotion initiatives.
  • Community Engagement and PR: Coordinate with local community groups, schools, and organisations to plan and deliver health education sessions, promotional events, and awareness campaigns.
  • Website Management and Promotion: Maintain and update website content regularly to ensure accurate service listings and active promotion of key offerings.
  • Marketing Collateral Production: Create both digital and print marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, and signage in line with campaign objectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders and referral partners to support collaborative marketing and promotional initiatives.
  • Data and Insights Reporting: Monitor, analyse, and report on key marketing metrics to inform decisions and improve social media reach, engagement, and overall marketing performance.
  • Internal Communication: Clearly and effectively communicate marketing campaigns, brand updates, and promotional activity to internal teams to support alignment across the organisation.
  • Proactive Campaign Development: Identify and act on opportunities for additional promotional efforts, particularly in underrepresented or high-value service areas.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to create targeted marketing strategies for specific client groups and demographics.
  • Online Shop and Product Management: Maintain and update the online store, including uploading new products, managing inventory levels, writing product descriptions, and coordinating promotions to support sales and brand alignment.
