Description Job Overview: The Marketing Operations Specialist independently manages, coordinates, and executes marketing initiatives that directly support the organization's strategic objectives. Acting as a cross-functional liaison, the role exercises independent judgment in organizing marketing activities, selecting external vendors, planning campaigns, interpreting market research, and delivering critical recommendations to senior leadership. The role supports both the Marketing Team (primary) and the R&D/Training Teams (secondary) and operates with substantial autonomy to optimize marketing operations in alignment with business goals. Supervisory Responsibilities: None (however, the role independently manages projects, vendors, and critical workflows.) Key Responsibilities: Independently plan, develop, and execute marketing campaigns and special initiatives supporting organizational objectives. Conduct comprehensive marketing research, analyze trends, and present actionable insights to decision-makers. Lead the establishment and management of vendor relationships, including negotiating pricing and services with external partners (printers, food vendors, etc.). Formulate campaign effectiveness reports and recommend strategy adjustments based on analytical findings. Exercise independent discretion to monitor and optimize promotional strategies and market positioning initiatives. Organize and manage internal administrative marketing operations, including resource procurement, meeting logistics, and executive communication drafting. Craft internal and external communications, including memos, presentations, and agenda materials, ensuring alignment with corporate voice and strategy. Maintain and oversee critical databases, ensuring data accuracy to inform business development efforts. Plan and coordinate on-site and off-site functions, including product cuttings, promotional events, and executive meetings. Competencies: Strategic Thinking: Ability to create and propose marketing strategies aligned with overall business goals. Independent Decision-Making: Capable of exercising judgment and discretion with minimal oversight in operational matters. Project and Time Management: Prioritize and manage complex projects with shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Data Analysis and Critical Reporting: Ability to interpret marketing data and independently recommend action plans. Creativity: Ability to infuse innovative concepts into traditional marketing tactics. Required Skills/Abilities: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with autonomy and precision. Strong organizational and strategic time management abilities. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and familiarity with project management and digital marketing platforms. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. At least 4 years of progressively responsible marketing or office administration experience. Preferred experience in retail food, consumer packaged goods (CPG), grocery, or creative fields. Physical Requirements: Ability to work a standard Monday–Friday schedule with occasional after-hours requirements. Ability to manage tight deadlines and dynamic priorities. Work Environment: Office environment with collaborative project work. Occasional travel to events, vendors, or conferences required. This is an on-site, non-hybrid position.
