Job Summary
The Marketing Project Manager will lead and coordinate key marketing and sales support initiatives for AmeriLife Benefits. The focus is on operations and project management, helping ensure seamless execution of campaigns, programs, and deliverables across internal teams and stakeholders.
The position will support internal account teams with marketing and communication materials, assist in content production, and maintain consistency across communication channels and marketing systems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support brand management, collateral and portal development, and campaign strategy is an important component.
The responsibilities also include acting as a project manager and liaison for the 403(b)/457 Retirement Services Program, the AmeriLife Agent Benefits Program, and other new sales channel initiatives, ensuring timely and accurate information flow, marketing and communication materials, and client implementations. The position will also contribute to new sales efforts, and marketing innovation.
Job Description

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving attitude
  • Comfortable managing and executing digital communications (SMS, email, video, audio)
  • Experience with MARQ (formerly Lucidpress), Adobe Illustrator, and document editing
  • Familiarity with web CMS platforms such as WordPress and page builders (e.g., Elementor)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to learn new tools (e.g., Synthesia, podcasting software, LMS platforms)
  • Ability to write clear instructional materials for both technical and non-technical users

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Prior marketing, communications, or design production experience (professional or internship)
  • 1-3 years of project management experience
  • Experience in a client-facing or internal support role
  • Understanding of brand consistency and digital asset management principles
  • Interest or experience in benefits communications, HR marketing, or employee engagement a plus

  • 403(b)/457 Retirement Services Program: Support the creation of marketing materials, communications, website content, presentations, activity reports, and client implementations as needed.
  • Set up and manage SMS and email campaigns using internal tools, support contact list creation and scheduling for client communications.
  • Support podcast creation and benefit guide–driven video development using tools such as Synthesia.
  • Manage brand kits for internal teams and clients in MARQ, maintain collateral templates and support internal users with editing and customizing materials across projects, and rebuild materials in MARQ from source files (e.g., PDFs, InDesign) to ensure brand consistency.
  • Create and maintain documentation and instructions for using MARQ, SMS, and other marketing tools, and develop and upload internal training content to The HUB platform to support cross-functional understanding of marketing systems.
  • Upload, organize, and maintain PDF content for client portals and benefit materials.
  • Perform production tasks in Adobe Illustrator, including editing iconography and recoloring client logos for accurate brand usage.
  • Agent Benefits Program: Develop monthly enrollment and activity reports and provide support to AmeriLife as needed.
  • Support new marketing and sales channel development initiatives as assigned.
