POSITION OVERVIEW

As Marketing & Promotions Manager for Good Co Granville, you will lead the charge in driving attendance, engagement and revenue through strategic audience outreach for a dynamic, 600-person venue offering video games, food, drinks and dancing. You will bring the venue’s vibrant offerings to life through innovative campaigns, partnerships, and community connections. From managing social media to creating in-house programming and hosting large-scale events, this role demands creativity, organization, and a passion for hospitality. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • At least three years’ experience within a marketing / promotions role, with demonstrable project or team leadership experience
  • Diploma or degree in marketing, communications, or fine arts, or equivalent professional experience
  • Previous experience in marketing & promotions within a B2C business (preferably hospitality/entertainment)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and comfort with copywriting for broad distribution
  • Previous success in collaborating, developing partnerships and driving audience engagement
  • Strong ability to manage priorities, adapting with agility and maintaining a solution-oriented approach
  • Demonstrable expertise in social media marketing and digital marketing tools
  • Experience in managing marketing spends and budgets effectively
  • G Suite for Business, MS Office, and database / mailout platforms (eg MailChimp or other)

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Exposure to data analytics and CRM platform(s)
  • Comfort with Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, AfterEffects and Premiere) is a strong asset
  • Familiarity with our brands and core offerings (music, games, food and drinks) and Vancouver’s hospitality market

    Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Programming & Event Execution
  • reviews, nurtures and expands programming to attract and retain a diverse audience
  • collaborates with promoters to increase reach, event attendance, group and VIP bookings, and overall engagement
  • develops and executes strategies aligned with the overall Good Co brand, tailored to Granville’s unique offerings (late night weekends, dancing, long weekend Sundays)
  • Venue Identity:
  • Strengthen Good Co Granville’s brand imprint through creative campaigns and partnerships
  • Identify and engage third-party collaborators for innovative and compelling programming
  • Event Coordination:
  • In collaboration and alignment with the Group Sales Coordinator, negotiates and facilitates group events (corporate, student groups, private parties)
  • In collaboration with third-party promotional partners, ensures ticketed or premium events are supported with tailored marketing campaigns, driving high visibility and turnout
  • Campaign Execution:
  • Creates and implements multi-channel marketing campaigns, emphasizing digital platform while making strategic and effective use of traditional methods (print, posters)
  • Oversees and guides the creation of compelling online content (images, video, animation) to drive awareness and conversion
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Maintains proactive communication with operational leadership, internal and external partners
  • Aligns marketing strategy with overall brand (Good Co + Blueprint), key calendar and booked events through ongoing connection with wider Marketing resource group
  • Ensures timely execution within budgetary and ROI constraints through continuous partnership with operations and accounting resources
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Acts as a thought leader within area of practice, mentoring and leading close collaborators including operations, providing thoughtful insights based on expertise and market knowledge
  • Regularly and objectively evaluates campaign effectiveness to deliver value and demonstrable commercial benefit
