POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, the Marketing Specialist will perform a wide range of tasks, but the primary day-to-day tasks will consist of creating and posting email campaigns, supporting functions in our eMarketing tools, using our platform HubSpot, and other online community systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience
  • One to three years’ experience in a similar role, or relevant experience
  • Experience working with WordPress CMS
  • Strong understanding of HTML and website best practices
  • Understanding of W3 Accessibility Standards
  • Experience writing copy for websites and email campaigns
  • Experience using email marketing software, such as HubSpot
  • Experience with graphic software, such as: Canva, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to use Microsoft and Google spreadsheet and word processing software
  • Excellent writing and English grammar skills
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Very strong customer service orientation
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Write and edit copy for email campaigns, marketing materials and websites
  • Respond to requests from internal staff related to web content or email marketing
  • Create email campaigns for announcements, event marketing, membership marketing, e-newsletters, and case alerts
  • Coordinate email marketing efforts for events such as conferences and webinars
  • Publish campaigns on all marketing channels, including email, web, and social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, etc).
  • Use social media marketing tools
  • Assist with the production of marketing materials and assets
  • Provide administrative and project support as it relates to email marketing efforts for a variety of association programs
  • Collect data and create reports related to email marketing and membership data
  • Assist other team members by testing proofreading, checking web links, proofreading, and other related miscellaneous tasks
  • Assist with the production of online events and webinars
  • Assist with the administration of online communities and listservs
  • Create online forms using software available
  • Update web pages while ensuring content is presented in a clear format
  • Perform other similar or related duties which may not be specifically included within this position description, but which are consistent within the general level of the job and the responsibilities described above

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Some overnight travel may be required to support certain association events
  • Follow and adhere to organizational processes
