Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for strategy, planning, content development, and analysis of assigned marketing campaigns and events, and for media and social media campaign strategy and implementation. As Managing Editor, the Marketing Specialist also oversees the editorial calendar and content, including regular content development, for ads, newsletters, social media channels and blogs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As a member of the Marketing department, act as a communications champion for the company, ensuring that internal communications and external publications and communications are professional, brand-consistent, accurate, and free from error.
  • Research, plan, schedule, support, and track industry conferences and events, as well as provide event staff with information packages to include setup, teardown, packing and shipping instructions. Attend external events as needed.
  • Research, write, and distribute press releases.
  • Develop and manage workflows in HubSpot for automated email marketing campaigns.
  • Develop, write, and maintain content for the public website, customer support site, blogs, social media channels, brochures, flyers, signage, videos, and sales promotions.
  • Develop social media and media promotion strategies and monitor company social media channels, liking/commenting/reposting customer/partner/sales posts and scheduling frequent new marketing posts.
  • Produce, develop, and edit audio and video content for promotional and training materials.
  • As directed, travel on occasion to represent the organization at trade shows and conferences.
  • Track and manage the storage and shipping of tradeshow inventory and ensure that sufficient equipment and exhibit materials are in stock and available for scheduled events, including customs paperwork for border transfers and cross-border shipping.
  • Submit approved travel requests to the Customer Service Coordinator for show-related travel and arrange to book or cancel hotel accommodation in advance to reserve show rates for events.
  • Review digital advertising performance as per process and refine ad content, keywords, bids, and placements to improve performance.
  • Interview or survey customers to collect feedback and develop testimonial content to support company sales objectives and advertising/promotional content needs.
  • Lead, research, recommend and write content for projects including but not limited to: videos, customer guides and case studies.
  • Manage the editorial calendar and content for newsletters, white papers, quick tips and blogs, and research, write, or source content for regular publications.
  • Maintain and organize company media and marketing content by building relationships with editorial staff at key publications.
  • Acknowledge and process incoming sales leads and partner requests from all online sources.
  • Create new records and opportunities in the CRM.
  • Coordinate and prepare mailing lists, reports, emails and mailings to support nurture marketing, direct email programs, campaigns and customer communications, including printing, distributing, reviewing and analyzing results.
  • Track and publish lead generation, nurture marketing, and marketing performance metrics.
  • Order and track inventory of print marketing materials.
  • Administer user accounts and permissions on the SpeedLine website, including ensuring all customers on support have required access, signing up new customers, and adjusting permissions as needed.
