About the role

Australia Swan Vintage Pty Ltd is seeking an analytical and commercially focused Marketing Specialist to support the continued growth of its wine portfolio across Australian and international markets. Working within the Sales and Marketing Department and reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, the position will research market opportunities, develop and coordinate marketing programs, advise on product positioning, pricing and promotion, and measure campaign performance. The role will work closely with management, winemaking and production personnel, distributors, trade partners, cellar-door stakeholders and external creative service providers to ensure marketing initiatives accurately communicate the quality, provenance and commercial value of the company's wines.

Key responsibilities

  • Research market characteristics, potential demand, consumer preferences and competitor activity for existing and proposed wine products across domestic and export markets.
  • Identify market opportunities by collecting, interpreting and analysing sales, customer, digital-channel and campaign data, and provide evidence-based recommendations to management.
  • Develop, coordinate and implement marketing objectives, policies, programs and campaign plans aligned with the company's brand portfolio and commercial priorities.
  • Advise management on product mix, brand positioning, packaging, pricing, advertising, sales promotions and distribution-channel strategies for different customer and geographic segments.
  • Plan and coordinate integrated campaigns across websites, e-commerce, email, social media, trade media, public relations, cellar-door promotions and industry events.
  • Prepare campaign briefs and coordinate external designers, photographers, media providers, printers and other suppliers to deliver marketing materials within approved budgets and timelines.
  • Create and maintain accurate product, brand and promotional content, ensuring claims and communications are consistent with brand standards and applicable Australian wine and advertising requirements.
  • Support new product and market launches by preparing go-to-market plans, promotional calendars, distributor toolkits, product presentations and trade-facing materials.
  • Monitor campaign reach, conversion, return on investment, e-commerce performance and customer engagement, and prepare regular reports with recommendations for optimisation.
  • Represent the company at wine tastings, trade exhibitions, promotional events and partner activities as required, including occasional interstate travel.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree or higher qualification.
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience as a Marketing Specialist, Brand Specialist, Product Marketing or comparable role.
  • Demonstrated experience in market research, consumer and competitor analysis, campaign planning, brand positioning and performance reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Practical experience with digital marketing channels, content management, social media, email marketing, e-commerce and analytics or reporting tools.
  • Sound commercial judgement and the ability to manage multiple campaigns, suppliers, deadlines and budgets with accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, production and management stakeholders while exercising initiative and professional judgement.
