ABOUT THE POSITION

Expected hiring salary range: $80,000-$90,000 per year. *Offered salary will be determined through an internal review process.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

University of Niagara Falls Canada is looking to hire an experienced and versatile Marketing Specialist to join our in-house Marketing and Communications team. Our ideal candidate will help develop, implement, track and optimize our marketing campaigns across all channels (online and offline) to support international and domestic lead generation efforts. You should have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to support integrated marketing campaigns from concept to execution. The Marketing Specialist will work with various stakeholders and internal teams to launch campaigns on time and on budget.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Post Secondary Degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in marketing
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools (i.e. Salesforce)
  • Experience working in higher education is considered an asset
  • Experience in optimizing Google AdWords, Facebook campaigns.
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, omnichannel marketing tools and events.

Competencies:

  • Knowledge and understanding of GDPR and CASL legislation.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret campaign data.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to complete work in a timely manner with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, processing figures with spreadsheets and reporting on the campaign results. Being able to derive meaning from data through A/B testing and email optimization.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience developing and executing complex marketing plans and campaigns.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and executing digital marketing campaigns across channels (PPC, Paid Social, SEO, Affiliate).
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against KPIs and ROI.
  • Test new campaigns and explore new paid and organic channels to penetrate new markets.
  • Keep track of the budget and optimize spending through improving CPLs and conversion rates.
  • Create landing pages and web forms and optimize user experience.
  • Aid the domestic recruitment team with marketing materials and outreach coordination.
  • Support the day-to-day update of the website.
  • Support search engine optimization efforts.
  • Create and implement marketing email campaigns. Conduct A/B testing.
  • Support the launch of marketing tools.
  • Continuously research competitor marketing tactics in higher education and share insights.
  • Assist with other day-to-day marketing activities and events (including orientations, career fairs, convocation ceremonies, signing ceremonies, open houses etc.) as needed.
  • Collaborate with various internal/external stakeholders for printing needs and other related marketing needs.
  • Flexibility to work occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends for campus events.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the university.
