Description

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in graphic or web design from a recognized art/design school preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in print and web graphic design.
  • Demonstrated accountability for quality, accuracy, and adherence to work instructions with discretion required when exercising duties within pre-determined limits and procedures.
  • Demonstrated understanding that work contributions have some influence beyond the immediate Marketing Department and as such duties are executed with care, accuracy, and compliance to instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively come up with creative/innovative solutions and generate new ideas, as the nature of work requires a high degree of creativity/innovation in carrying out duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other departments as interactions are generally with peers within the company.
  • Capability of interacting with internal and external customers, providing them with correct information, straightforward support, and common courtesy.
  • Strong typography, design, and layout skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of WordPress to update and make design changes to our website.
  • Proficient knowledge on a Mac: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), including digital/web production and sound knowledge of MS Office on Mac platform.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact) is a plus.
  • Basic video editing skills or familiarity with video software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, etc.) preferred.
  • Must have a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to recognize and prioritize time-sensitive tasks.
  • Tenacious follow-up and precise attention to detail.
  • Excellent critical thinking/problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with updating, designing, and creating product catalogs, product room scenes, product labels, internal documents, and other marketing materials.
  • Assist with creating graphics, icons, templates, and marketing-related materials.
  • Take an innovative and creative approach to print and web design.
  • Take product and employee photographs as needed.
  • Ensure that branding guidelines established by the company are adhered to in web design and visual materials.
  • Assist in the development of a new website and maintain the current website through regular updates, utilizing basic skills such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Collaborate on the creation and scheduling of email marketing campaigns (eBlasts).
  • Assist in the creation of Product Knowledge (PK) videos and ensure video content aligns with brand standards.
  • Create, manage, and grow company social media accounts, ensuring timely, brand-appropriate content is developed utilizing Adobe Express and posted across platforms.
  • Research and find photos and graphics for various in-house projects.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to adhere to project timelines.
  • Design internal communication materials to support corporate communications and events.
