  • Provide regular coverage of NYMEX oil futures, including market drivers and key movements.
  • Build and maintain strong industry sources at the supplier, distributor, and retail levels to inform pricing and editorial decisions.
  • Attend select industry events to enhance market knowledge and represent DTN as a leading voice in energy intelligence.
  • Collaborate closely with editorial and analyst teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and insight across all content.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3–5 years of experience covering energy markets, preferably with a focus on refined fuels.
  • Proven experience in basis price assessments and a strong understanding of refined fuels pricing dynamics.
  • A reliable network of industry contacts, particularly within the Gulf Coast or New York Harbor markets.
  • Strong journalistic skills, including writing, editing, and distilling complex market information into clear, actionable insights.
  • A collaborative, adaptable mindset and a willingness to be cross-trained across a range of products and coverage areas.
  • A passion for energy markets, market-moving news, and data-driven reporting.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Unlimited PTO to support work-life balance
  • Flexible working hours
  • Remote-first work model (role-dependent)
  • Comprehensive health coverage, including medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with 6% company match
  • Access to 13,000+ on-demand courses through our learning platform to support your career development
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for confidential support and resources
