PwC New Zealand’s Customer Transformation practice is growing, and we’re looking for a MarTech Technical Architect (Associate Director) to join our Auckland-based team. This role sits at the engine room of our MarTech work, keeping programmes moving, teams aligned, and solutions working as intended across marketing automation platforms. You’ll be a hands-on MarTech Architect and leader, commercially minded and comfortable operating close to delivery. Working at the intersection of marketing, data and technology, you’ll lead the technical design and implementation of MarTech solutions, configuring, deploying and guiding teams through complex implementations. While you’ll engage with senior clients, the focus is firmly on making things happen, turning strategy and intent into scalable, practical outcomes through hands-on delivery. Your day-to-day could include: Hands on Technical Architect for complex MarTech engagements, ensuring designs are fit for purpose and drive value for our clients. Translating marketing and customer strategy into practical technology solutions that teams can implement. Working closely with delivery teams; Adobe specialists, Salesforce consultants, data and CX practitioners to keep momentum and quality high. Troubleshooting technical challenges, identifying options and recommending solutions to best fit our client’s needs and align with business strategy. Supporting clients through implementation, optimisation and adoption; not just design. Contributing to proposals and shaping delivery approaches, while remaining closely involved in execution. Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience 6–10+ years’ experience in agency, consulting or in-house environments delivering MarTech, digital or customer platforms. Proven experience working with Adobe and Salesforce platforms (strongly preferred) Strong hands-on experience across front-office technology, beyond CRM — including marketing automation, CMS, data and personalisation. Comfortable operating close to delivery, from architecture and design through to implementation and optimisation. Strong understanding of customer data, integration patterns, and how insight drives marketing effectiveness. Able to work confidently with both technical teams and marketing stakeholders. Calm, pragmatic, and delivery-focused; someone who cuts through complexity and keeps momentum strong.
