Kidnasium is looking for Martial Arts/Parkour Coaches to join our team in North York, ON and East York, ON.

ABOUT KIDNASIUM

Kidnasium is a fitness, sports, and wellness hub for kids of all ages. Our programs are designed to build confidence, coordination, and a love for movement in a safe, fun, and supportive environment.
We’re looking for a high-energy, encouraging Martial Arts/Parkour (Ninja) Class Coaches to lead our action-packed program — a dynamic mix of gymnastics, karate, parkour, obstacle course training, and bouldering on our rock walls. This is the ultimate program for kids who want to jump, climb, roll, and challenge themselves while learning new skills.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Ninja Instructor will plan and deliver classes that combine elements of gymnastics, martial arts, parkour, rock climbing, and obstacle courses. The program focuses on agility, strength, balance, coordination, and confidence-building, all while keeping safety a top priority.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in one or more of the following: gymnastics, martial arts, parkour, rock climbing, or related disciplines.
  • Previous experience teaching or coaching children preferred.
  • Knowledge of proper spotting and safety techniques for physical activities.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for motivating kids.
  • Ability to adapt instruction to different ages and skill levels.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Physically able to demonstrate skills and safely assist students.
Responsibilities
  • Program Planning & Delivery
  • Create lesson plans that are age-appropriate, safe, and progressively challenging.
  • Incorporate skill development in gymnastics basics, karate techniques, parkour movements, climbing skills, and obstacle navigation.
  • Set up and adjust equipment to create engaging obstacle courses for each class.
  • Coach up to 10 children, classes are grouped by age (4-12 years old)
  • Lead & Motivate
  • Teach energetic classes that inspire kids to push themselves in a safe and supportive way.
  • Provide positive coaching, encouragement, and clear instruction for students at varying skill levels.
  • Demonstrate proper technique for all movements, from rolls and vaults to climbing and jumps.
  • Safety & Supervision
  • Ensure all activities are conducted following Kidnasium’s safety protocols.
  • Spot students as needed, especially during climbing, flips, or challenging obstacles.
  • Inspect equipment before each class to ensure it is secure and safe for use.
  • Create a Positive Atmosphere
  • Encourage teamwork, perseverance, and respect for others.
  • Maintain discipline while keeping classes fun, supportive, and inclusive.
  • Celebrate student achievements and progress.
