POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Martial Arts / Karate Instructor / Supervisor to lead a weekly after-school session at a primary school in Gravesend, Kent. This role provides the opportunity to inspire children through martial arts, helping them develop discipline, confidence, fitness, and self-control in a fun and supportive environment.
The session runs for one hour per week, 3:30pm – 4:30pm, with the exact day TBC, giving children an exciting chance to learn martial arts after school.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Experience teaching or leading martial arts or karate sessions for children.
• Ability to engage and motivate children in a structured, enjoyable, and disciplined way.
• Strong communication skills in English for interacting with children, parents, and school staff.
• Relevant martial arts qualifications or experience in children’s martial arts instruction is highly desirable.

• Lead and supervise children during martial arts or karate activities, ensuring a safe and structured environment.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate sessions that develop physical skills, confidence, and discipline.
• Encourage respect, teamwork, and positive behaviour among participants.
• Communicate effectively with parents and school staff regarding children’s progress.
• Ensure the training area and equipment are safe, organized, and ready for use.
