Job Details Job Location: Magnuson Community Center - Seattle, WA 98115 Position Type: Part Time Education Level: None Salary Range: $21.00 - $23.00 Hourly Job Category: Education Martial Arts Instructor (Magnuson Community Center) The Associated Recreation Council (ARC) in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation is recruiting a Martial Arts Instructor to lead various Martial Arts classes at Magnuson Community Center. The instructor will focus on providing practical instruction, and ensuring that students aged 12+ learn and operate within a safe, supportive environment. Schedule: Start Date 04/01/2025 Part time (2-4 hours a week) Martial Arts Instructor duties and responsibilities include: As a Martial Arts Instructor, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling high-quality Martial Arts classes Provides practical instruction, and ensures that students learn and operate within a safe, supportive environment Plan, lead, and teach martial arts classes following standards and guidelines or other nationally recognized certifications Plan and prepare skill progression specific to martial arts for each class Other duties as assigned Martial Art Instructor requirements include: Martial Arts Instruction experience Must be 18 years of age or older Possesses a working knowledge of safety and emergency procedures and be able to exercise sound judgment, and report any unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately Pay: Starting Pay: $21 - 23/hr.
