Key Responsibilities: - Teach martial arts classes to participants of various age groups and skill levels - Develop and implement lesson plans that promote skill development, discipline, and safety - Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement - Ensure a safe and respectful environment during all classes and activities - Maintain equipment and ensure the cleanliness of the training area - Promote YMCA programs and events related to martial arts and fitness - Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and confidence At the YMCA, we value diversity and are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for all staff and members. Requirements - Proven experience in martial arts instruction, with certification preferred - Strong knowledge of martial arts techniques, safety protocols, and teaching methods - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to motivate and engage participants of diverse backgrounds and ages - CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) - Reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a welcoming environment - Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs and skill levels
Responsibilities
