About the Family:
Ready to join a fun-loving fam with two gorgeous little humans and a whole lot of heart? This warm, outdoorsy crew is on the lookout for a superstar nanny to help care for their 18-month-old daughter and 3-year-old son. They’re big on adventures, park hangs, and the occasional family getaway — and yes, there’s a very friendly dog in the mix too.
Dad’s working the long hours game, while Mum’s pressing pause on her career to soak up this season with the kids (though she might sneak in a few shifts here and there). She’ll mostly be around, so consider this a tag-team effort — lots of support, plenty of laughs, and zero pressure to do it all solo.
The 3-year-old is full of beans and very into his fleet of trucks and cars. He’s at daycare a couple of days a week and already a little pro-in-the-making with tennis and swimming lessons. His little sister? She’s pure sunshine — curious, cheeky, and always keen to keep up with her big bro.
There’s a weekly cleaner, so no heavy scrubbing here — just someone who can roll with the chaos, keep things light, and genuinely enjoy being part of a lovely household that appreciates a good sense of humour (and a spare set of hands).
About the Role:
We’re looking for a fun, nurturing, and proactive Mother’s Helper who will support the family with daily routines and child-focused activities, working alongside Mum and occasionally providing sole care. You’ll be someone who connects easily with both parents and children, is organised and tidy, and brings a calm, can-do attitude to everyday life. Bonus points if you’re great in the kitchen!

What Your Day Might Look Like:

• Helping the kids get ready in the morning — getting dressed, brushing teeth, nappy changes, breakfast, and packing bags
• Making meals and snacks for the children
• Helping Mum with outings like swimming, tennis, park trips or playgroups
• Sometimes looking after the kids on your own
• Supporting nap and quiet time
• Prepping dinner while Mum spends time with the kids
• Light household jobs like tidying up, doing dishes, laundry, helping the kids pack away toys, adding to the grocery order, and a bit of vacuuming or mopping if needed
• Planning fun things to do at home — craft, water play, sensory play or outdoor activities
• Helping with the evening routine — dinner, bath time, and bedtime
• There may also be chances to travel with the family or help out with babysitting on date nights

Transport:
A driver’s licence and car are not required for this role.

Requirements:

• Valid Blue Card / Police Check
• First Aid & CPR certificate
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar nanny or Mother’s Helper role
• At least 2 contactable references
• A genuine interest in a long-term position

• North Rockhampton QLD 4701: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Childcare: 2 years (Preferred)
