POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director, Experiential Learning, the Mask Fit Testing supports the College’s students by following fit test procedures to ensure that respirators fit to an individual’s face to provide respiratory protection against harmful pathogens.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful completion of a Qualitative Fit Testing course (QLFT) from a recognized industry provider (e.g., 3M, PSHSA, etc.)
- A minimum one (1) year post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. Certificate, diploma, or degree in Occupational Health & Safety)
- Proficiency with both quantitative and qualitative fit testing method
- 1 year experience in a health and safety role preferred
- Detail oriented and precision focused
- Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for students and staff
- Excellent communication skills
- Work independently
- Ability to work non-standard hours occasionally

Responsibilities:
- Conduct fit testing to CSA Standards
- Educate participants on respirator mask donning and doffing, etc.
- Ensure that information required is recorded for tracking purposes
- Report to the Director of Experiential Learning when supplies are needed to ensure continuity of workflow
- Ensure the fit test appointments are booked and tracked as outlined in the booking tool
- Ensure ACCUFIT machine quality assurance measures are maintained
- Share completed fit testing lists with Placement Coordinators program coordinators for NAR sign off for placement
- Collaborate with all Placement Coordinators and programs requiring fit testing for clinical placement
- Sanitize/disinfect testing room and equipment
- Make appropriate consultation around decisions related to cultural and other considerations in the mask fit testing process
- Other duties as assigned
