The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in a variety of massage modalities and can assess guest needs to deliver personalized services. A deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and wellness is essential, along with a current Florida Massage Therapy State License. Excellent communication skills are key to discussing health concerns, explaining treatment protocols, and providing wellness advice tailored to each guest.   Key Responsibilities: 1. Guest Service Excellence: * Create a welcoming and relaxing environment for each guest. * Understand the complete guest journey to deliver an exceptional experience from arrival to departure. * Assess guest preferences and health concerns to provide customized massage treatments. * Maintain professional communication throughout each session to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction. * Maintain notes on guest preferences for future visits to personalize their experience. 2. Massage & Body Treatments: * Provide consistent, professional massage services in accordance with spa protocols and certification standards. * Tailor treatments based on individual guest needs and preferences within the scope of licensure. * Stay informed of the latest trends and techniques in massage therapy and bodywork. * Assist with event and group services, including chair massages, as needed. 3. Spa Operations: * Set up and break down treatment rooms according to established procedures, ensuring cleanliness and organization. * Uphold high standards of sanitation and sterilization in compliance with Florida State regulations and spa policies. * Assist with inventory management, including stock takes and backbar supplies. * Maintain spa equipment and use products efficiently to control costs. 4. Professional Development & Collaboration: * Attend regular training and staff meetings to stay updated on spa protocols and standards. * Communicate effectively with management regarding any guest or operational concerns. * Assist other spa team members, including locker attendants and receptionists, as needed. * Actively promote spa treatments, services, and retail products, as well as any special promotions or discounts. 5. Safety & Compliance: * Ensure safety protocols are followed, maintaining a secure and comfortable environment for guests and staff. * Comply with all spa regulations and procedures to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.   Qualifications: * Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current Florida Massage Therapy State License. * Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed massage therapist. Experience in a resort or luxury spa environment preferred. * Knowledge & Skills: * Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques. * Ability to assess guest needs and provide tailored treatments. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Knowledge of sanitation and safety protocols. * Physical Requirements: * Able to lift, carry, and move items up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently. * Must be comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive physical tasks. * Ability to work in a variety of conditions, including in dim lighting and quiet environments. * Personal Presentation: Maintain high standards of personal grooming and hygiene, essential for close client interactions. No presence of cigarette smoke on hands, clothes, or breath during shifts.   Work Schedule: This position requires flexibility, including working weekends, evenings, and holidays based on guest demand and the needs of the business.
