Position Description Sensei Lāna'i is seeking expert Massage Therapists to join our team. Sensei’s Massage Therapists report to the Spa Manager and are responsible for providing high-quality treatments for our guests. The Massage Therapist is responsible for the delivering of services and standards and upkeep of all SOPs and Protocols. All efforts are being directed towards guest satisfaction, safety, sanitation, proper technical procedures and professionalism. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: • Administer professional massage and body treatments to guests • Works with management to develop standard operating procedures (SOP) for hale set up and breakdown • Works with management to update and /or create treatment protocols • Enforce sanitation protocols amongst staff • Drives guest service standard training • Participates in regular audit of team standards QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience • High School Diploma or GED required • At least 3-5 years of massage experience in a luxury hospitality environment Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities • Performs additional related duties as requested by a manager at any time • Must maintain flexibility and be able to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Friendly demeanor, great smile, energetic, calm, and empathetic • Able to make sound decisions when in a stressful situation • Organized and able to prioritize • Must be able to operate equipment, including: an iPad, computer, and be able to text message • Responsible to set up equipment and clean equipment Required Licenses/Certifications • Massage license from the State of Hawaii • Esthetician license from the State of Hawaii, desirable.
