Description The Spa at Holbrook Massage Therapist performs various massage techniques and spa treatments for high-end clients, maintains pristine treatment rooms, and handles client consultations and aftercare recommendations. Key responsibilities include performing a range of massages like Swedish and deep tissue, assessing client needs, adhering to spa protocols and sanitation standards, recommending spa products, maintaining their client retention rates, and ensuring a comfortable, luxurious client experience. They also manage administrative tasks such as updating client profiles and maintaining inventory. Represents the know-how, attention to detail and elegance of The Spa at Holbrook. Provides a five-star, luxury wellness experience aligned with Holbrook’s philosophy of Luxury, Hospitality, and Wonder. Requirements DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES · Luxury Experience and Environment o Ensure lighting, music, scent, and temperature are curated for sensory harmony. o Deliver each service with warmth, grace, and seamless flow. o Conclude each service or treatment with a personalized recommendation for recovery or next appointment. · Client Consultation o Conduct thorough client consultations to understand individual health histories, preferences, and any specific concerns or conditions. o Tailor spa treatments, especially massages, based on the client’s needs and preferences. · Massage and Body Treatments o Perform a variety of massage techniques, such as Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, or aromatherapy massages. o Administer specialized body treatments, including scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy. · Technical Proficiency o Demonstrate technical proficiency in various massage modalities, staying updated on industry trends and innovations. o Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to address specific client concerns. · Health, Safety, and Sanitation o Adheres to OSHA, ADA, and Georgia Board of Massage Therapy standards. o Maintains sanitation and cleanliness protocols that ensure visible safety and client confidence. o Immediately reports any adverse reaction, injury, or incident per Holbrook Safety Policy. o Maintains confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA. · Maintaining Treatment Rooms o Ensure treatment rooms are clean, well-stocked, and prepared for each client. o Create a tranquil and comfortable environment conducive to relaxation. · Product Knowledge o Stay informed about spa products, including oils, lotions, and aromatherapy options. o Educate clients on the benefits of different products and recommend home care routines. · Client Education o Provide clients with information on post-treatment care, including hydration, stretching, and self-care practices. o Offer advice on lifestyle changes that may enhance the benefits of spa treatments. o Make recommendations of Club and Spa Memberships · Health and Safety Compliance o Adhere to strict health and safety protocols, including cleanliness, sanitation, and proper use of equipment. o Maintain a hygienic and safe environment for both clients and staff. · Client Education and Recommending Add-ons and Upgrades o Make recommendations of additional spa services or retail products based on the client’s needs and preferences. o Contribute to the achievement of sales targets through effective communication and product knowledge. · Continuing Education o Pursue continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and stay informed about new massage techniques and therapies. o Participates in professional and sensory-awareness training aligned with Holbrook’s Five-Star Service Standards. o Attend workshops, training sessions, and industry conferences. · Client Relationship Management o Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, fostering a sense of trust and comfort. o Solicit and respond to client feedback to ensure continuous improvement. o Maintain a client retention rate of 50% - 75%. o Maintain Rebooking Rate of 75% - 85%. · Team Collaboration o Collaborate with other spa team members, including estheticians, salon professionals, nail technicians, wellness consultants, and concierge staff, to provide a cohesive and integrated spa experience. o Attendance and arrivals are timely to ensure client and treatment area preparation are on point. o If needing time off of your schedule, you must acquire another team member to cover your schedule. · Cultural Sensitivity o Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adapt massage techniques to meet the diverse needs of our clients. · Performs other related duties or assignments as required to support client experience, operational needs, or the success of The Spa at Holbrook. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Active State of Georgia Massage Therapy License, dual licensing preferred. Three (3) years’ experience working as a massage therapist in a luxury establishment or with a luxury brand. Excellent knowledge of luxury service standards Mastery of massage techniques Team player Attention to detail Confident communicator Empathy Elite customer service provider PHYSICAL DEMANDS OR REQUIREMENTS • Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing. • Have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities related to inspecting environment. • Constant need to perform the following physical activities: grasping, turning, finger dexterity. • Frequently needs to stand for long periods of time. • Lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs. frequently and 25 lbs. occasionally. • Vision requirements: constant need to view small print.
