The Opportunity
This is more than just a job. It’s a global mission. As a Master Black Belt – Global Continuous Improvement, you will be a key architect of Neogen’s enterprise-wide Lean Six Sigma strategy. You’ll lead high-impact initiatives, mentor a global cohort of Black Belts and Green Belts, and drive operational excellence across our manufacturing, laboratory, and commercial operations.
You’ll collaborate with senior leaders across functions and geographies to build CI capabilities, standardize best practices, and deliver measurable business value while fostering a culture of continuous improvement across Neogen’s worldwide footprint.This role reports to the Global Director of Continuous Improvement and is supported by an engaged and visionary leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve Neogen’s global Lean Six Sigma deployment strategy.
  • Lead enterprise-level DMAIC, DFSS, and Kaizen projects with significant operational and financial impact.
  • Serve as the primary coach and certifier for Black Belts, Green Belts, and CI practitioners globally.
  • Develop and deliver global CI training programs, including internal certification standards.
  • Establish governance models, project selection criteria, and success metrics for the CI portfolio.
  • Collaborate with HR and L&D to integrate CI into leadership development and onboarding.
  • Support regional CI managers and site leaders in deploying Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
  • Build and refine CI infrastructure, including dashboards, training curriculum, and standard work.
  • Travel globally (30–50%) to facilitate training, kaizen events, and strategic planning sessions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field.
  • Certified Master Black Belt from a recognized institution (e.g., ASQ, MoreSteam, GE, Honeywell).
  • 10+ years of CI leadership experience, including enterprise-level project execution.
  • Proven success mentoring and certifying Six Sigma practitioners.
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., food safety, biotech, pharma).
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel globally up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or graduate-level training in operations, strategy, or change leadership.
  • Experience designing and scaling global CI programs across multi-site organizations.
  • Background in diagnostics, animal health, or food manufacturing.
  • Fluency in Spanish or another second language.
