Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

Process requests for material masters within SAP and maintain the production master data.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Creation of material masters on SAP (item creation);
  • Periodic master data mass changes and the creation of characteristics and dependencies where necessary.
  • Maintenance of the data tables.
  • Maintenance of the routings and bills of material.
  • Creation and maintenance of special instructions documents, including the upkeep of the document listing.
  • Maintenance of SAP documentation (Word document);
  • Creation of info-records and source list for sub-contractors.
  • Correction of wrongly made declarations from production orders.
  • Work with SAP Coordinator to develop understanding of full SAP functionality.
  • Plus, additional ad-hoc responsibilities, e.g., Sample planning.
  • Items are raised within 24 hours of request.
  • Knowledge of new products or product changes is kept up to date.
  • Master data changes are made accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Data tables are maintained accurately.
  • Routings are entered accurately, so that there are no delays in planning.
  • Bills of material are entered accurately, so that costs are correctly recorded.
  • Special instructions are accurately created and maintained in a timely manner.
  • Special instructions document listing is up to date at all times;
  • SAP documentation (Word document) is accurately and concisely maintained in a timely manner.
  • Production order declaration discrepancies are corrected daily;
  • Knowledge of SAP functionality is enhanced through working with SAP Coordinator.
  • Ad-hoc responsibilities:
  • Orders are accurately entered onto sample database.
  • Samples are monitored to ensure they are sent to customer within two weeks of receipt of order.
  • Monthly report of samples produced/sent is generated in a concise and timely manner.
