Summary: The Macola Master Data Lead is responsible for owning, governing, and optimizing all material master data and bill of materials (BOMs) within the Macola ERP environment. This role ensures data accuracy, integrity, and alignment across production, planning, and supply chain functions. The Lead will support manufacturing operations by maintaining clean, reliable data that enables accurate MRP, inventory control, and efficient production execution. Key Responsibilities: Master Data Ownership * Manage and maintain all material master records in Macola to ensure accuracy of key fields (item attributes, costing, planning parameters, units of measure, routing/BOM linkages, etc.). * Establish and enforce data governance standards, validation rules, and change-control procedures. * Lead continuous data cleanup, classification, and standardization efforts to support system accuracy and performance. BOM Management & Governance * Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure structural integrity and alignment with production requirements. * Audit BOMs for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with engineering and operational changes. * Collaborate with production, engineering, and planning to ensure BOM updates are properly reviewed and executed. Macola ERP Expertise * Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Macola system transactions, configuration related to master data, and inventory control functions. * Partner with IT and operations to troubleshoot Macola data issues and recommend system improvements. * Support enhancements, testing, and training associated with Macola data processes. Cross‑Functional Collaboration * Partner with planning, production, logistics, procurement, and suppliers to ensure data accuracy supports operational performance. * Communicate data requirements, process changes, and data quality expectations. Required Skills & Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience in Master Data, Inventory Control, or BOM Management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. * Extensive hands‑on experience with Macola ERP (advanced proficiency). * Strong analytical skills with a data‑driven mindset. * Experience with MRP, replenishment, and raw material planning. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP). * High attention to detail, accuracy, and process discipline. Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related area of study. * Experience in steel manufacturing or heavy industrial operations. * APICS/ASCM CPIM certification. * Knowledge of root‑cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
