JOB SUMMARY:

The Master Data Manager’s primary role is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and governance of master data and other related systems. This role ensures that all master data elements including materials, suppliers, customers, and logistics data are standardized and optimized to support efficient operations, procurement, inventory management, and overall supply chain performance. This will also include data analytics to support key commercial and financial strategic objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Data Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in master data management within a supply chain environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and data governance frameworks.
  • Experience with data quality tools, reporting software, and analytics platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively across departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, or other data analysis tools.
  • Ability to prepare reports, analyze statistical data and demonstrate knowledge of market.
  • Be willing to travel as required for vendor meetings, branch visits, or other needs as directed.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and enforce master data governance policies, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all Belt Power companies and ERP systems.
  • Manage the creation, maintenance, and validation of master data elements related to materials, suppliers, customers, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance and operations, to ensure data alignment and integration.
  • Define and implement data quality standards, controls, and audits to maintain data integrity.
  • Lead data cleansing and enrichment initiatives to improve supply chain visibility and decision-making.
  • Support ERP and other system implementations and enhancements to include our reporting systems such as Power BI.
  • Train internal teams on Master Data Management best practices and governance policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to master data quality and compliance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in master data management and supply chain digitalization.
  • Regularly meet with Supply Chain to discuss stocking, purchasing and inventory strategies focused on maximizing service and optimizing Inventory.
  • Regularly meet with Commercial and Finance to gain aligned approach and understand impacts.
  • Provide Product Category Management support as assigned to include planning, vendor collaboration, market development and stocking strategies.
  • Make recommendations for consolidation of product lines, based on price, performance, and market demand to enable the company to capitalize on increased buying power.
  • Perform other duties to support inventory management / procurement efforts as assigned.
