The ideal candidate for the Master Data Manager role is a detail-oriented, proactive professional with strong time management and communication skills. They are a quick learner with high accuracy, diligence, and the ability to work independently or within cross-functional teams. Resilient and adaptable, they can meet deadlines under pressure while focusing on efficiency, user experience, and continuous improvement. Strong analytical thinking, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to follow directions and prioritize effectively are also key.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data disciplines or any related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in master data administration and management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, with a strong focus on master data governance.
  • 3+ years experience with SAP ERP, SAP MDG and /or other master data management tools.
  • Experience with digital platforms and Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proficiency in master data quality management, master data cleansing techniques and identifying opportunities to streamline master data administration and management processes.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills to support professional development.
  • Experience with business analysis or data analysis, with strong system, data and analytical skills to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data governance, protection and data privacy regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly and ad hoc reporting as required.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to digitalise master data management capabilities, automating processes to increase effectiveness and master data quality.
  • Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to assist in the administration and management of master data requirements and ensure smooth challenges and issues resolution.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on master data management best practices and tools (e.g. SAP MDG) functionalities.
  • Liaise with external vendors for master data management solutions and services as required.
  • Promote a data-driven culture throughout the organisation by establishing a clear vision for master data management and developing a robust governance framework to ensure the data’s validity,reliability, and consistency.
  • Support the Head of Data and Analytics and ad hoc duties as required.
