The Essence of the Role Data Definitions & Requirements: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements for the engineering team. Data Modelling: Work with architecture to design, develop, and maintain conceptual, and physical data models. You will collaborate to build the blueprint for how our master data is structured, and managed. Data Governance & Quality: Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures. You will implement data quality frameworks to monitor, measure, and remediate data issues, ensuring high levels of accuracy and completeness. Process Improvement: Identify and lead initiatives to improve data lifecycle management processes, from creation and maintenance to archival and deletion. Cross-Functional Business Partnering: Act as the subject matter expert on master data, providing guidance and training to other teams and ensuring alignment on data definitions and usage across the company. Who Are You? Proven Experience: 5+ years of experience in a data management role, with specific experience in master data management (MDM), data governance, and data modelling. Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in SQL and extensive experience with data modelling. Familiarity with MDM platforms and data quality tools is essential. Analytical Mindset: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to deconstruct complex business problems and design elegant data solutions. Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. You must be able to effectively bridge the gap between business and IT. Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Attention to Detail and System Design: A deep-seated passion for data integrity and understanding how systems work together to produce/utilise data.
