Description Position Title: Master Electrician Department: Maintenance / Electrical Reports To: Maintenance Manager or VP of Manufacturing FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Job Type: Full-Time (On-Site) Schedule: Monday–Saturday, with on-call availability as required About Piping Technology & Products (PT&P) Founded in 1978 and based in Houston, TX, PT&P is a leading manufacturer of engineered pipe supports, expansion joints, and industrial solutions used across power, refining, chemical, and related industries. Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Master Electrician with strong industrial experience to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems that support steel fabrication operations. Key Responsibilities · Install, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems, equipment, and components. · Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform preventative maintenance. · Read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. · Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and NFPA 70E standards. · Mentor junior electricians and maintenance staff. · Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed. · Collaborate with the maintenance team to optimize equipment performance. Requirements Qualifications · Master Electrician License required (TEXAS). · Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical experience. · Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and NFPA 70E safety standards. · Proficient using diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment. · Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications · Experience with PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and industrial controls. · Familiarity with CMMS software. · Strong communication and organizational skills.
