Are you a seasoned marine technician who thrives on working with gas engines and takes pride in delivering top-notch service? We’re looking for a Master Marine Gas Engine Mechanic to join our growing team of experts. In this role, you’ll bring your knowledge, skill, and leadership to work on some of the most exciting and challenging marine projects in the region. As a Master Marine Gas Engine Mechanic, you’ll: Perform expert-level service, diagnostics, and repairs on gas engines (inboards, I/Os, and outboards), and occasionally diesel engines. Communicate directly with clients to understand their needs, provide estimates, and exceed expectations. Troubleshoot and resolve engine issues with precision and efficiency. Conduct routine maintenance, winterizations, and commissioning of engines. Perform engine surveys, testing, and sea trials to ensure optimal performance. Complete accurate service reports that reflect our professionalism and attention to detail. Manage your own time to meet or exceed team financial targets. Travel to marinas and private slips within about 30 miles. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, protecting vessels, parts, vans, and the shop. Treat each project as if it were your own boat, contributing to our growing customer base and maintaining our reputation for excellence. Mentor and collaborate with junior mechanics, with opportunities for cross-training to expand your skills. What We’re Looking For Deep, hands-on experience with gas inboard, I/O, and outboard engines, plus solid knowledge of diesel systems. Expertise in marine industry standards, best practices, and the ability to apply service manuals and bulletins. Strong working knowledge of marine electrical and mechanical systems. A commitment to safety, including understanding of PPE and safe work practices. A problem-solver who can independently research, source parts, and manage projects from start to finish. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients, customer support, and other teams. A detail-oriented mindset, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed. Requirements High School Diploma or GED (minimum). Certifications from MerCruiser, Yamaha, Mercury, ABYC, or similar are highly preferred. Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Why Join Us?
