  • Create task lists based on feedback from staff and volunteers.
  • Reorganization and Sorting:
  • • Develop a plan for reorganizing and sorting items to optimize space and improve efficiency.
  • Sort through supplies, materials, and equipment, categorizing them and ensuring they are stored in designated areas.
  • Suggest storage solutions such as shelving units, bins, or labeling systems to facilitate organization and accessibility.
  • Decluttering and Maintenance:
  • • Remove any unnecessary or outdated items from the organization’s space, including old paperwork, equipment, or materials after perusal by designated staff.
  • Dispose of or recycle items that are no longer needed, following proper disposal guidelines and approval by designated staff.
  • Regularly clean and maintain storage areas, workspaces, and common areas to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Inventory Management:
  • • Keep track of inventory levels for essential supplies and materials, such as office supplies, cleaning supplies, and equipment.
  • Create inventory lists or databases to monitor stock levels and identify when items need to be replenished.
  • Coordinate with staff or other volunteers to restock supplies as needed and ensure that essential items are readily available.
  • Documentation and Feedback:
  • • Document any changes or improvements made during the reorganization process, including before-and-after photos or inventory records.
  • Gather feedback from staff and volunteers regarding the effectiveness of the organization’s space and any additional needs or suggestions for improvement.

By consistently reorganizing and sorting the organization’s space each month, you will contribute to a more efficient and productive work environment for staff and volunteers. Your efforts will help streamline operations, reduce clutter, and create a space that supports the nonprofit’s mission and objectives effectively
