Description

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

  • The Master Production Scheduler will be able to demonstrate hands on experience in the setup of a Master Production Schedule/Level Loaded Plan, data analysis and ongoing performance management/improvements from first principles in past businesses. The Demand Planner will have at least 5 years’ experience in strategic/senior production scheduling and preferably across more than one business.

REQUIREMENTS FOR DEMAND PLANNER

  • Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software, and scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or other production optimization methodologies is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

The Master Production Scheduler plays a critical role in aligning customer demand with operational capabilities, acting as a key liaison between Sales, Marketing, Production, Procurement and Logistics. This position is responsible for managing and continually improving the demand forecasting and production planning processes through the effective use of data, systems, and cross-functional collaboration. The role supports the successful execution of the monthly Sales and Operations Planning cycle, converting market and customer insights into an accurate demand plan and translating this into a feasible, cost-effective production schedule. Success in this role drives customer satisfaction, service levels and operational efficiency across the site.
This is a new role to the business that will provide an opportunity for someone to come in and work with the SI&OP Manager to establish and embed the process/role.
