Description United Recovery Project Behavioral Health is seeking a master’s-level Primary Therapist to join our Mental Health Residential Treatment Program. About the Role The Primary Therapist will provide individual and group therapy, develop and maintain individualized treatment plans, complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to support patients in a structured mental health residential setting. This role focuses on treating individuals with high-acuity psychiatric conditions, ensuring continuity of care, and utilizing evidence-based interventions to promote stabilization, insight, and long-term recovery. Key Responsibilities of the Primary Therapist • Provide individual, group, and family therapy in a mental health residential treatment setting • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, clinical evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary Treatment Team to develop and implement Master Treatment Plans • Assist in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care through appropriate referrals and aftercare coordination • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in compliance with AHCA, DCF, Joint Commission, and company standards • Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development • Provide care to individuals with high-acuity mental health disorders, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other complex psychiatric conditions • Maintain consistent communication with families, referral sources, and external providers to support patient progress • Establish and maintain therapeutic boundaries while fostering a safe, structured, and supportive environment • Work collaboratively with the treatment team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care • Uphold professional and ethical standards while contributing to a positive, team-oriented culture Perks of the Primary Therapist Position • 104 hours of PTO annually • Paid holidays • Medical, dental, and vision benefits • Voluntary benefits available (including Short Term, Accident, Disability, Life Insurance) • Supportive work environment • Supervision • Career growth Pay Range $65,000 to $85,000 annually commensurate with experience. Requirements Qualifications of the Primary Therapist • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related human services field required • Active Florida license (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or Registered Intern under supervision) preferred • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a mental health setting preferred, particularly with high-acuity populations • Strong computer skills and general proficiency with electronic systems required • Experience with KIPU EMR or similar electronic medical records system preferred • Must be able to successfully pass a Level 2 background screening in accordance with state requirements #PM23
