Description Acoustical Sheetmetal is hiring for a Master Scheduler to join it's growing team. The Master Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating, planning, scheduling, and overseeing products throughout their production process or cycle. The role ensures that all processes and schedules are followed rigorously to attain on time deliveries internally and meeting customer requirements. Responsibilities Maintain capacity management and production monitoring system to maximize on-time delivery performance and minimize cost. Research, propose and implement technology to assist in scheduling, including the ability to forecast future demand scenarios. Responsible for comprehending complexity of various manufactured units to appropriately allocate labor, material, and machinery capacity. Responsible for scheduling and capacity planning for all production activities at all sites. Monitor production progress against scheduled milestone dates, intervene as necessary with appropriate leadership to bring project back into compliance with committed milestones, ultimately achieving committed ship dates. Develop and report scheduling, capacity, and production tracking metrics to provide visibility and support commitments made by the organization. Identify and implement programs to shorten lead times and reduce costs. Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and quality departments as needed to ensure issues are identified, resolved quickly, and documented to avoid in the future. Responsible for updating and maintaining the Production Schedule with support from the Manufacturing Support Administrator. In addition, will have input from CEO / COO and Director of Operations about scheduling priorities and level of commitment ASC can make to the customer. Ownership of On Time Delivery KPI’s and assisting the organization to drive down lead times. Ability to coordinate schedule changes within the organization. Demonstrate clear and effective communication with supply chain, able to communicate accordingly with supply chain based on scheduling changes and supply chain issues. Develop annual forecast for capacity planning and financial planning purposes. Leads capacity planning reviews which includes presenting short-term and long-term forecasts, proposing solutions to production scheduling bottlenecks and / or gaps. Optimizes production through scheduling techniques. Requirements BS degree or equivalent in supply chain management, operations, or similar field preferred 2+ years in a customized highly engineered to order manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of low volume, high product mix production processes. Capacity planning / master scheduling experience Lean manufacturing experience Excellent oral and written communication skills. Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize Superb organization, time-management skills Deadline and detail oriented Ability to lead scheduling changes and work with diverse teams, multiple organization levels, and across business functions
