YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential:

  • Subject matter expert in the use of relevant planning applications e.g Primavera
  • Awareness of integration of Primavera with Aveva ERM for end to end Planning
  • Integration of complex Programmes in a complex environment
  • Excellent analytical skills and capable of assessing complex data and communicating it to senior management

Desirable

  • Project Management qualifications (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of Ship build design and manufacture processes across the build cycle and delivery requirements of engineering & supply chain to support

Reporting to the Head of Programme within the PMO, you’ll have the opportunity to be at the heart of a dynamic and high-profile project, influencing how we enable, govern, and control the successful delivery of this cutting-edge naval initiative.
As part of this team, you will be contributing to the strategic oversight and coordination of the programme, ensuring its smooth execution across multiple stages. The role offers the chance to shape programme delivery, work with experts across the field, and directly impact the success of a project that is pivotal to the nation’s defence future. Responsibilities
  • Acting as the accountable person for the development and maintenance of a single integrated Level 1 Type 26 schedule and will act as the conscience of planning across the Programme
  • Using your subject matter expertise to analyse critical path performance and work closely with delivery teams to understand risks, using this information to provide an informed view to aid effective decision making
  • Establishing best planning practice, ensuring effective execution of activities, whilst maintaining governance standards
  • Responsible for Governance of progress against key milestones in the Level 1 Plan, supporting effective decision making, providing knowledge and expertise to maintain alignment with the full planning process to ensure achievable delivery. Responsible for setting programme planning governance standards
  • Liaising with the functional Head of Planning in all Planning tableau development and standardisation.to develop consistent planning reporting metrics required across Programme
