Job Description Summary Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. This role is responsible for leading production planning and control, as well as optimizing the end-to-end supply chain to ensure operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Manage master planning, material processes, and related systems for the OEC manufacturing team; develop and update production schedules and purchasing plans Develop balanced production plans considering demand forecasts, production capacity, and inventory levels Coordinate and align plans with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Sourcing, Logistics, and Commercial teams Identify and execute solutions to address production delays, material shortages, and capacity constraints Manage and optimize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems Monitor and drive improvement of key KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, inventory turns) Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain processes Actively participate in the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process Adjust plans flexibly in response to changing business needs Apply sound judgment to propose improvements or alternative solutions beyond established parameters, with guidance as needed Provide day-to-day guidance and support to new team members Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in master planning or production planning within a manufacturing environment Experience with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English (reading, writing, and speaking) Preferred Qualifications CPIM or APICS certification is a plus Experience in the medical device industry is preferred GE HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer where inclusion matters.
