Hartmann Canada, in Brantford, Ontario is a division of Hartmann North America. We are the world leader of moulded fibre egg cartons with manufacturing facilities in 5 continents. We require the talent of an experienced Master Scheduler to join our team. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining the master production schedule to ensure efficient and timely production of goods in multiple plants supplying customers across North America. You will work closely with various departments, including production, as well as sales and customer service, to gather inputs and make decisions, in order to balance demand and capacity, optimize inventory levels, and maximize the organization’s ability to meet customer expectations. With direct responsibility within the team creating production and shipping schedules, your role will be extremely interactive, requiring a high level of validation, and ensuring required adjustments are made in response to changing supply and demand patterns.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Develop and maintain the master production schedule based on customer orders, sales forecasts, and production capacity.
  • Coordinate with production, supply chain, and sales teams to ensure alignment of schedules and priorities, incorporating known variables impacting forecasts and plans.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust high level schedules as needed to address any delays or issues.
  • Analyse production data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement, or implement corrective actions, including detailed decisions on order changes, volume allocations, and reschedules where required.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to manage inventory levels.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production performance vs expectations.
  • Act as project lead or participate in activities supporting improvement and growth initiatives.
  • Gather and maintain current forecast demand and expected production levels by site.
  • Generate and lead S&OP process, gathering inputs, compiling presentations, and leading discussions with senior management team.
  • Supervise Production and Shipment Planning & Scheduling.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • Education or Designation in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Operations Management.
  • Proven experience as a Master Scheduler or in a similar role within a multi-site manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management principles.
  • Proficiency in capacity planning & scheduling software and MRP/ERP systems.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills in challenging situations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • High level skill set in math and Excel expertise
  • Supervisory experience
