POSITION SUMMARY The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the master production schedule to ensure timely delivery of products, optimal inventory levels, and efficient utilization of resources to support manufacturing operations. This role coordinates with multiple departments to balance customer demand, resource capacity, and inventory levels while maintaining optimal production flow. RESPONSIBILITIES Create and maintain master production schedules aligned with business objectives based on demand forecasts, production capacity, inventory levels, and customer requirements. Analyze forecast data and collaborate with sales, operations, and supply chain to balance demand and supply. Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in customer demand, manufacturing capacity, material availability. Identify potential scheduling conflicts or constraints and proactively develop contingency plans to minimize disruption to operations. Maintain accurate scheduling data within the ERP/MRP system; generate reports and KPIs related to schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and production performance. Identify and implement improvements in scheduling processes, tools, and procedures to enhance efficiency and responsiveness. Collaborate with sales, program management and customer service teams to ensure accurate delivery dates Own and manage production lead times to ensure accurate planning and timely delivery. Continuously review and optimize lead times in coordination with production, procurement, and logistics teams. Serve as an engaged contributor to the SIOP process by providing accurate production schedules, capacity constraints, lead time updates, and inventory data to support informed decision-making and alignment across functions. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field. 3–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management (manufacturing environment preferred). Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Oracle). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools. APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively across departments in a fast-paced environment. PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring interaction with production teams. Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols. The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer. Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits. Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting. TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED Occasional travel to different office locations, client sites, or conferences may be necessary.
