The Match Support Specialist will play a key role in cultivating strong, meaningful connections between students and mentors. This position supports growth through weekly lessons, events, and hands-on guidance, ensuring impactful match experiences and positive youth development. Key Responsibilities Build & Strengthen Mentor-Mentee Relationships Match students with caring mentors who can guide them on their path to success. Provide continuous support to both mentors and mentees, ensuring strong, lasting connections. Track engagement and measure the success of matches to ensure meaningful interactions. Engage and Empower Students Lead dynamic classroom lessons that inspire and motivate students to dream big and take action. Coach students on personal development, life skills, and goal-setting, helping them build confidence and clarity about their future. Collaborate closely with teachers and school administrators to ensure student success. Recruit, Train, and Support Mentors Identify and recruit passionate community mentors eager to make a difference. Provide ongoing training and communication to ensure mentors feel prepared, supported, and confident in their roles. Create Impactful Projects & Events Plan and deliver exciting, hands-on projects and monthly events that bring together students, mentors, and the wider community. Coordinate logistics, engage participants, and celebrate the success of each event to strengthen the mentoring network. Collaborate for Collective Success Work alongside a talented team of educators, mentors, and community partners to achieve common goals. Participate in agency committees and engage with staff across departments to drive the mission forward. Requirements Minimum Requirements Education: Professional program agency staff must have a high school diploma/GED and meet one of the following criteria: A documented bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field deemed appropriate by the agency, or be within six months of degree completion A documented associate degree or two years of higher education from an accredited institution in a relevant field, plus two years of related work experience (e.g., social work, counseling, child development) Four years of relevant work experience in related fields as defined by the agency Additional Requirements: Proven program management skills Experience working with high school students and school-based programs Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and confidentiality skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office equipment Valid NM driver’s license, insurance, and access to personal vehicle Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience with both youth and adult populations Familiarity with New Mexico’s cultural and economic landscape Bilingual (English/Spanish)
