JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Material Analyst & Supply Chain Coordinator to support Client material operations during a two-year transition period, ensuring smooth relocation of materials from Vacaville to other Client network sites, including Oceanside. This role reports to the Head of Material Operations and works closely with warehouse teams, quality, procurement, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with warehouse operations, GMP processes, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and supply chain coordination within biotech, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environments.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • HS diploma + 8 years, Associate degree + 6 years, Bachelor’s degree + 2–4 years, or Master’s degree + 0–2 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in warehouse, biotech, pharmaceutical, chemical manufacturing, or GMP-regulated environments.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems in validated environments (SAP strongly preferred).
  • APICS certification or training is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of SAP, SLIMS, EDMS, Veeva and other automation systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of compliance, regulatory, and audit requirements.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, complex GMP environment.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Schedule may include non-rotating 4x10 shifts, weekends, evenings, or nights.
  • Standing on feet for 8–10 hours daily.
  • Lifting up to 40 lbs required.
  • PPE required: scrubs, gowning (bunny suits, gloves), steel-toe boots.
  • Exposure to Level 1 chemicals.
Responsibilities

Material Receipts & Transactions

  • Perform goods receipt transactions in Client SAP within SLA requirements.
  • Provide sample plan data and material sample labels to support Lonza operations.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely communication of receipt data.

Outbound Shipping & Logistics

  • Create outbound delivery requests in Client SAP for 3PL shipments.
  • Perform post-goods issue transactions to complete deliveries.
  • Support packaging, labeling, and shipping of raw materials and bulk drug substances.

Inventory & Materials Management

  • Run expiration reports in SAP and coordinate actions with Lonza personnel.
  • Process scrap transactions and mirror adjustments in SAP.
  • Manage raw material inventory, weighing, transferring, and issuing within cGMP guidelines.
  • Support spare parts transfers, Kanban processes, and maintenance parts management in SAP.

Quality Control & Compliance

  • Coordinate QC sampling and testing requirements using SAP, Single LIMS, and Client Raw Materials specifications.
  • Prepare data packets for material release and ship samples to Client sites as needed.
  • Support site change controls, discrepancy management, and compliance with cGMP standards.
  • Act as SME during audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.

Continuous Improvement & Safety

  • Contribute to LEAN initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure safe handling of hazardous/controlled materials.
