Description
The Material & CMMS Coordinator shall perform Sandia National Labs (SNL) Kauai Test Facility (KTF) Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving and inventory management, and perform data entry for the local CMMS data management system. Key components in this position include: Shipping & receiving supplies and materials. Purchasing materials & services using a SNL credit card. Storing & distributing supplies and materials. Maintain information (electronic and hard copy files) for purchase activities. Maintain CMMS information for assets to include materials, labor and scheduling. Track monitored materials & consumption using the SNL Chemical Inventory System (CIS). Perform inventory management of site assets (including SNL numbered equipment). Responsibilities Prepare, manage and track shipping papers for all site materials and supplies. Schedule and interface with delivery services, carriers, and freight forwarders, providing on-island transport for high-priority items procured locally. Support post-shipment tasks that include maintaining files of appropriate information and interfacing with the requester regarding timely and safe arrival of shipped goods. Perform data entry for KTF material and site assets in a CMMS program to include: Asset inventory and validation (inventory balances and reorder point forecasting). Purchasing data entry information. Materials receiving, warehousing, inventory management and issuing materials. Preventive Maintenance (PM) scheduling for site assets and managing information. Corrective Maintenance work orders (material, labor and contract information). Validate data entered and close out completed work for PM and CM work. Perform receiving support that includes unpacking, initial receipt inspection (both for physical damage and for content vs. packing list), and temporary storage and routing to final requester. The post-receipt tasks include: Maintain appropriate receivable inspection information, packing slip/invoice processing initiation, and distribution of any Safety Data Sheets for received items. Support the processing of purchase requests for materials & services (including any supplemental paperwork such as quotes and receipts). Process requisitions with the use of a Procurement Card (P-Card) to include reconciliation efforts of P-Card purchases throughout the month. Follow up on orders, expediting, and maintaining files of appropriate order information and updating any process workflows. Store and manage hazardous materials, chemicals and waste, consumable supplies. Track inventory records to include chemicals and waste. Track the shipping of equipment and tools as they pertain to the calibration program. Operate material delivery vehicles such as forklifts, pickup, van, and stake bed truck. Use and operate material handling equipment such as pallet carts and dollies. Use power tools, hand tools, bander, stenciling equipment, and other such tools as required in packaging operations. Support packaging, shipping, and receiving of classified matter and hazardous materials/dangerous goods. The package sizes can range from small envelopes to Connex shipping containers. Qualifications A High School Diploma or equivalent and be proficient in reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required for preparation and use of shipping and purchasing documents. Valid State of Hawaii driver’s license. Proficient in office skills such as Microsoft Office suite of software tools, records filing and retrieval of documents. Minimum of Five (5) years’ experience in the logistics and material packaging operations. Have or able to attain a Department of Energy Security “Q” clearance level. Able to lift and carry up to 60 Lbs. and ability to stand for extended periods. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Effective interfacing with many customers and suppliers. Desired Qualifications: Have 2+ years of experience in a CMMS program such as Maximo. A Class “C” CDL license. Trained in International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)/International Air Transport Association (IATA) and International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) regulations. Have an active security clearance of DoD “Secret,” DOE “L” or higher.
