Job Title: Material Control Analyst
Location (city, state): Southwest side of Chicago, IL
Industry: Manufacturing
Compensation: $55,000–$65,000 annually + quarterly bonus potential
Work Schedule: 100% on-site | Flexible hours from 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Material Control Analyst plays a key role in inventory accuracy and materials management. This position supports inventory integrity, resolves discrepancies, and works closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure the seamless flow of materials.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience using ERP systems (JD Edwards or Oracle-based systems strongly preferred).
  • Proficiency with Excel, including basic formulas.
  • Analytical mindset and strong numerical skills.
  • Willingness to work in both office and warehouse environments (safety equipment provided).
  • Must be open to obtaining forklift certification (training provided on-site).
  • Comfortable working independently and proactively solving problems.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inventory counts across raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
  • Investigate inventory variances and provide actionable recommendations to improve accuracy.
  • Create cycle count reports and validate inventory against system records using ERP software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Scheduling, Purchasing, Production) to address material shortages or overages.
  • Track and analyze raw material usage and ensure proper classification of stock.
  • Provide input on stock levels, obsolescence strategies, and process improvements.
  • Support backup scheduling functions and participate in tank measurement tasks.
  • Maintain clear documentation and safety standards in both office and warehouse settings.
