We are looking for a new ideal team player as a Material Control Supervisor in our Warehouse department! The Material Control Supervisor is essential to keeping Cosmos Corporation's manufacturing operations running smoothly by ensuring materials move accurately, efficiently, and on time from receiving through production. This role leads daily warehouse operations — including receiving, inventory control, and material handling — while supervising and developing a team of warehouse associates. By maintaining inventory integrity and driving cross-functional coordination, this position directly supports production uptime, quality, and operational efficiency. Regular attendance is required. This is a safety-sensitive position and should not be under the influence of any substance. Lead and manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, inventory control, material handling, and outbound material flow to consistently meet production and operational requirements. Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse team members through onboarding, training, performance feedback, and accountability practices that build a skilled, safety-focused team. Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, transaction control, variance investigation, and timely corrective actions — ensuring system integrity at all times. Partner with procurement, supply chain, quality, and production teams to anticipate material needs, resolve issues, and keep material flow aligned with the production schedule. Drive compliance with safety protocols, company policies, SOPs, and audit standards — maintaining documentation and standard work across all warehouse functions. Monitor operational KPIs and lead or support continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste, improve throughput, and strengthen warehouse efficiency. Foster a positive, accountable team environment through consistent communication, structured stand-ups or huddles, and alignment with Cosmos culture and values. Requirements Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in warehouse, inventory control, or material handling operations. 1–3 years of supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience with inventory management systems and cycle count processes. Familiarity with continuous improvement practices (e.g., Lean, 5S). Preferred Qualifications Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP inventory module OSHA 10 or 30 certification Forklift certification (reach lift, sit-down) Experience in a food, beverage, or consumer goods manufacturing environment Competencies Leadership & Team Development Inventory Accuracy & Process Control Cross-Functional Collaboration Continuous Improvement Mindset Safety & Compliance Focus Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, walk upstairs and climb up ladders and walk throughout the facility. Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must regularly push, or pull, lift, carry, materials and products weighing up to 60 pounds throughout the day, including lifting items overhead. Work is performed in an office environment and a manufacturing environment with exposure to varying and sometimes uncontrolled temperature conditions that are hot, humid and cold, as well as moderate noise levels and moving mechanical parts. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
