Material Control and Supplier Manufacturing Readiness ensures suppliers are fully prepared to meet the BlueOval Battery Michigan Pack plant’s material demands by coordinating end-to-end material planning and logistics from supply base to production. This includes managing inventory accuracy, monitoring material flow, ensuring on-time delivery, and maintaining compliance with safety, transportation, and quality standards. The role collaborates closely with suppliers, production, and warehouse teams to resolve shortages, optimize inventory, support production forecasting, and drive continuous improvement in material handling and logistics processes, while providing clear status reporting and enabling effective cross functional communication. What you'll do... Launch suppliers with material planning and logistics readiness to support BlueOval Battery Michigan Pack plant demand Coordinate end-to-end material flow from suppliers to plant, ensuring on-time delivery Monitor material movement, inventory levels, and system accuracy Collaborate cross-functionally (suppliers, production, warehouse) to ensure smooth operations Ensure compliance with safety, transportation, and quality standards Identify and resolve material shortages, delays, and discrepancies Maintain accurate records and provide regular status reporting to leadership Support production planning with material forecasting and alignment to schedules Optimize inventory levels and material usage to reduce cost and waste Drive continuous improvement in material handling and logistics processes Manage communication across procurement, logistics, and manufacturing teams Evaluate and coordinate with 3PL providers for efficient transportation solutions Candidates must possess full flexibility and a readiness to consistently work across all established standard, operating, and rotational shift schedules, encompassing day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. You'll have... 5+ years experience in material control, logistics, or supply chain (3+ years, preferably in manufacturing) and supplier management 5+ years experience inventory management systems, ERP tools (e.g., SAP/Oracle), and Microsoft Office Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and adapt in a fast-paced environment Even better, you may have... This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
